Iceland set to name new chief
ICELAND is to appoint Bill Grimsey, former head of DIY retailer Wickes, as its chief executive, reports The Times.
Malcolm Walker, Icelands chairman, is said to have been in discussions with Mr Grimsey for a fortnight following the departure of former chief executive Stuart Rose.
The newspaper says Mr Grimsey, who in the past was head of Hong Kong supermarket chain Parkin Shop, will join Iceland immediately.
Meanwhile, shares in Perkins Food rose by just over 6% after the company announced an approach from a financial buyer, reports the Financial Times.
Shares in the company, which makes chilled and frozen convenience foods, rose to 109.5p.
