Imminent retirement tempts one farmer to sell another

AFTER the successful sale of Redhouse Farm, Kineton, Warks farmer Nick Heritage is now selling his adjoining unit.

Redhouse was launched in April, and Marcus Blake, of selling agent Clayson Haselwood, says the 169-acre propertys £700,000 guide price was exceeded. Whether this result spurred the immediate launch of Kents Farm could not be confirmed, but Mr Blake says the move was always on the cards due to Mr Heritages imminent retirement.

The new offering is similarly sized to the vendors other farm at 172 acres and is also predominantly permanent pasture. Including a five-bedroomed period house, the guide price is £875,000.

By coincidence the firm is also selling another pair of neighbouring Warks farms. Mill and Grange Farms at Moreton Morrell, near Stratford-upon-Avon, extend to 498 acres and are for sale in lots or as a whole at £2.25m. FPDSavills are also acting for the seller, a trust set up by Mrs &#42 Pilkington of the glass-making family. &#42
