AFTER the discontinuation of Acquit, from DuPont, oilseed rape growers wanting to use alphacypermethrin to control insects this season are limited to Fastac, from Cyanamid. It offers control of pollen beetles, aphids, seed weevils and caterpillars in flowering oilseed rape. Fastac is the only insecticide for oilseed rape with endorsement from the British Beekeepers Association.
