MIDLANDS farmer co-op Meadow Valley Livestock made profits of £238,277 in the year to Dec 31, 1996. Turnover during the period was £50m, up 24% on the previous 12 months. Contributing to this was the 30% increase in cattle numbers to 32,545 and the 15% increase in pig numbers to 328,534. Sheep throughput, however, fell 11% to 113,106.
