&#8226 GENETIC engineering developments have produced alarming results which are being ignored by governments, according to a report released by Greenpeace this week. It cites once case where a bacterium engineered to produce fuel from farm waste was found to inhibit the growth of wheat and to suppress beneficial fungi when added to soil.
