&#8226 JOHN MacKintosh has been appointed as the new president of the Scottish Crofters Union. He succeeds Alistair MacIver, who stood down at last weeks annual meeting in Portree, Skye. Mr MacKintosh runs his familys croft at Banavie, by Fort William.
