uEWES fed a diet high in vitamin E produced significantly heavier lambs at birth and at four weeks, according to a trial by Kirkley Hall College, Ponteland, North-umberland, student Tony Morrison. His report of the study, which details the value of additional vitamin E in diets for pregnant hill ewes, has earned him the £100 Robin Armstrong Memorial Prize for the best project on sheep farming.
