uJERSEY Royal potatoes went on sale in Tesco supermarkets this week, one month earlier than usual.

Early harvest is due to exceptional weather on the island, prompting faster growth of the crop, says the retailer. The potatoes are priced at an equivalent of £1.81/lb for a 1kg bag.
