• LOCATION and the quality of pasture encouraged more than 60 people to attend the auction of 12 acres at Horsebrook, near Brewood, Staffs, according to auctioneer Ian Mercer, Bruton Knowles. Sold in two lots, the land averaged £7155/acre with 4.81 acres knocked down at £53,000 and 7.35 acres achieving £34,000.
• ABOUT 33 acres of pasture in Somerset with good road frontage and including 100,000 litres of milk quota sold by auction in three lots totalling £80,500 – averaging £2413 excluding the quota reports auctioneer, Greenslade Taylor Hunt.
• FOR sale as a whole by auction in July, Blackbrook Farm, near Tenterden, Kent, is guided at £550,000 by auctioneer Hobbs Parker. The residential grass farm includes 180 acres of mainly pasture, a five-bedroom farmhouse and an oasthouse with potential for conversion.
