IN BRIEF
IN BRIEF
• AMBITIOUS plans to construct a new dairy on a greenfield site at Hill Farm, Haversham, mean the Bucks units existing traditional buildings are now up for sale.
The barns on the 1.43-acre site already have planning consent for conversion into dwellings.
On the market with Webb Paton and Robinson & Hall the plot is guided at £800,000 as a whole or in four lots.
• SOME good prices were achieved when Bakewell-based Bagshaws recently auctioned a 142-acre Derbyshire holding.
Furnace Farm, Barlow, was sold in ten lots and the principal dwelling with just under ten acres went for £450,000. The balance of the farmland fetched an average of £3665/acre.
• FORMAL tenders are invited for 159 acres of arable and pasture land at St Leonards Farm, Blundon, near Swindon, Wilts.
The land is available from Dreweatt Neate in six parcels which range in size from a 2.89-acre paddock to a 63-acre plot with future development potential.
Closing date for offers is June 28.
• WARDS Farm, Lydney, Glous, is soon to be released by Carver Knowles.
It features 75 acres of pasture and a traditional 4-bedroomed farmhouse. The grass is let to a local farmer who is keen to continue the arangement.
The guide is set at £625,000 and unusually includes ancient salmon netting rights on the River Severn estuary. *
