‘Integrated crops are the answer’
INTEGRATED crop management is the answer to the chemicals problem in British farming, claims a guest contributor to The Guardian.
Decrying the poor performance of organic farmers she outlines a “natural system” of crop rotation spliced together with the latest technology.
Pesticides are still used but have “excellent environmental profiles” and performance is “equivalent to or better than conventional farming”.
ICP is promoted by nationally by the charitable organisation called Leaf (Linking the Environment and Farming) which has 1500 farming members.
