Irish apples to take on the mighty Granny Smith
Irelands native apples have been saved from extinction and are to be
marketed as an alternative to Golden Delicious and Granny Smith.

University College, Dublin. Anita Hayes, founder of the Irish Seed
Savers Association, is also preparing to launch varieties she has
collected on her travels around the country.
