Japanese buy Cropcare for £10m


MARUBENI of Japan has bought UK agrochemical sales company Cropcare for about £10 million.

The purchase was made through Marubenis Dutch joint venture company, Agrovista,.

The deal leaves Agrovista with four agrochemical sales units in Europe as well as the one it has in England and two in The Netherlands.

Agrovista is 60% owned by Marubeni and 40% by Hoechst, of Germany.
