Lancaster shows a spirited trade

A LIVELY trade lifted spirits among Holstein Friesian breeders at the Lancaster and Adjacent Counties club fixture when 27 animals averaged £1009.

The high-yielding Denmire herd of J W and M Dennison paraded the days champion and eventual top-priced entry with a bought-in daughter of Slocum.

Aurora Slocum Amy, bred by S and S A Webster, was offered freshly calved at this Lancaster event and was pulled out to head the line-up by judge Stephen Garth of the Fieldside herd. She made 1550gns to &#42 and C Pickervance, Kirkham, Preston.
