Lifting of British beef export ban
‘September at the earliest’

EUROPEAN Union veterinary experts have again delayed a decision to end a ban on British beef exports will be delayed until September at the earliest.

The European Commission has agreed to send vets to the UK later this month to “allay the fears” of Britains EU partners over the renewal of exports.

It had been hoped that farm ministers would consider ending the ban on 20-21 July.
