THE little red tractor logo is to make its first appearance on cartons of fresh milk the next few weeks, the NFU has announced.
From Feb 19 the British Farm Standard mark will appear on cartons of fresh milk in Sainsburys supermarkets.
This comes one day after the union announced that the logo will appear on Perkins Frozen Foods.
Its British Made quality pork sausages, beef quarter-pounders and beef grillsteaks will be made from British meat reared to the little red tractors standards.
And on the same day, Associated Combinable Crops Scheme chairman Jonathan Tipples revealed that two major bakeries are about to carry the mark on bread.
The knock-on effect of that breakthrough means that the mark could appear of products which include bread, such as pies, sausages and stuffing.
