Lyon U-turns to bid for SNFU presidency


GEORGE LYON made a dramatic about-turn by announcing he would stand for the leadership of the Scottish National Farmers Union.


He had previously declined to stand because he wanted to be a Liberal Democrat member of a Scottish Parliament.


Other presidential contenders on March 6 are Stuart Whiteford and Peter Chapman.
