MAFF updates arable area payments guide

A NEW guide for farmers who make applications under the Arable Area Payments Scheme has been sent to all arable farmers in England.


This replaced the 1997 guide and updates issued for 1998 and 1999. It includes all the changes to the scheme rules which apply from 2000 and reflects the Agenda 2000 reforms to this EU scheme.


MAFF claims the guide will enable farmers to apply for crop subsidies and set-aside payments in 2000.
