Make it plain, please

Please will you use your best endeavours to explain to the general public why slaughter is the only viable policy for FMD; and also to encourage people in the countryside to stick to the rules, especially about riding and exercising dogs, however inconvenient.

This outbreak has shown other countryside workers (and I hope the Government, but I doubt it) just how much farming is the base-point of the countryside economy.
