MASTER IN GOOD COMPANY

MASTER IN GOOD COMPANY

DORSET farmer John Cossins is the new Master of the Worshipful Company of Farmers.

He was installed at the companys annual harvest festival thanksgiving service where Richard Brooks from Norfolk – a chartered loss adjuster specialising in agriculture and horticulture – was installed as Senior Warden and HRH The Princess Royal was made Junior Warden. This final appointment means the princess will be Master of the Company when it celebrates the golden anniversary of its constitution as a Livery Company in June 2002.

Mr Cossins, whose family runs four dairy herds and a major arable enterprise has a long involvement with farming organisations and is well placed to further the companys aims of progressing agricultural education and research and promoting a better understanding of the industry.
