McCartney joins anti-fur farming campaign

STELLA McCARTNEY, the fashion designer daughter of the late Linda McCartney and rock legend Paul, has given her support to animal rights activists in their battle against fur farming.

She has offered her backing to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, which has produced a video depicting gory scenes from mink farms and fox culls, which McCartney narrates.

McCartney wrote to Prime Minister Tony Blair urging him to keep a promise to ban the farms.

The Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Food said the government was “exploring the best way” of ending fur farming.
