Meat reduction ‘good for the heart’
THE Imperial Cancer Research Fund said that giving up eating meat reduced the risk of dying from heart disease by almost 25%.
But it made no difference to the risk of developing a fatal bowel cancer. The research was based on a survey of all the data available on deaths among vegetarians.
The research is published today in Public Health Nutrition.
