MEP takes beef to Strasbourg
LIZ LYNNE, West Midlands MEP, last night pledged to continue her plans to serve British beef in Strasbourg in defiance of the French ban
She gave this commitment despite falling down the stairs in the European parliament building.
Lynne suffered a badly bruised shoulder and a sprained ankle, but is still set to cook beef Wellington for her Liberal Democrat colleagues tomorrow night.
She arrived in Strasbourg yesterday with British beef in a bag emblazoned with a Union Flag and the words “British Beef” on it.
