Mixed-up lamb still a mystery

HAS the wool been pulled over the eyes of the Press over claims that a goat living in writer Carla Lanes animal sanctuary gave birth to a lamb?

Experts said there is no evidenced that sheep and goats can cross-breed.

The Daily Mail considers if the story, which attracted wide attention, was a publicity stunt for Ms Lanes sanctuary at Horsted Keynes, West Sussex.

Ms Lane denied this, but said it would be possible for a goat to foster a lamb.

However, this still did not answer the question of where the lamb came from, she said.
