Morrison provides food for thought

MORRISON supermarkets has announced that its Christmas trading “easily surpassed previous records”, reports the Financial Times.
Sales, excluding additional selling space, rose 5.5% in the five weeks to 07 January . Including petrol and new stores, sales rose 16.7%.
Martin Ackroyd, Morrison finance director, said the figures would “give the others something to think about”.
