Mugabe warning to white farmers

ZIMBABWES white farmers have been threatened with “very, very, very severe” violence by president Robert Mugabe.

Mr Mugabe said squatters who have moved onto 793 white-owned farms could keep their gains and warned white farmers to prepare for the worst if they start to be violent.

The Daily Telegraph says Mr Mugabe is trying to forestall action by white farmers to remove squatters.

The High Court declared the invasion illegal and ordered the police to remove squatters, but Mr Mugabe has refused to enforce the law.
