NCA to split up?
THE National Cattle Association is thought to be considering splitting its organisation following its AGM last month.
A spokeperson said there would be an extraordinary meeting, probably next month, to discuss the changes.
The NCA has 680 members, the majority being beef producers. Reports suggest that beef breed societies have called for a split between beef and dairy cattle members with the formation of a new national beef association a possible outcome.
