New chief at Booker
STUART ROSE is taking over as chief executive at Booker, the troubled food distribution group.
Mr Rose has held senior positions at Argos, Burton and Marks and Spencer.
This month Booker reported that first-half profits before exceptionals had halved. It was expecting to sell its seeds and fish processing businesses in the second half and the US chicken-breeding arm should follow early next year.
