New president at Kellogg
KELLOGG has appointed Carlos Gutierrez as president and chief operating officer of the food group.
The appointment makes him heir apparent to Arnold Langbo, the current chairman and chief executive officer.
The post of president and chief operating officer has been vacant for six years. Mr Gutierrez was previously executive vice-president, business development, and president Asia-Pacific.
Kellogg has been losing market share in the USA, where it now enjoys less than a third of the cereals market. It has suffered from a shift to less expensive cereals and other breakfast foods.
