No-stress chipper

AUTOMATED feed roller drive on Entecs latest wood chipper, called the "no-stress device", is claimed to avoid blockages and keep machine output at its optimum.

The Chippit 25PH uses sensors to monitor any reduction in flywheel speed. When a predetermined level is reached, the feed rollers are automatically stopped. Once the chipper has returned to normal working speed, the feed roller drive is automatically restarted.

A 25hp Kohler petrol engine powers the chipping flywheel and provides hydraulic power for the feed roller drives. Entec says timber up to 15cm (6in) diameter can be put through the trailed machine. Equipped with the "no stress" unit, Entecs Chippit 25PH costs £7495. &#42
