Now, protest is definitely on…

THE Countryside Alliance has said a mass protest in London next year is definite following the inclusion of the Bill that could ban hunting in the Queens speech.

Angered by the inclusion of the bill in the governments legislative agenda the organisation has promised that plans for a demonstration on Sunday March 18 will now be firmed up.

Chief executive Richard Burge warned: "The countryside is in crisis. Real people are suffering hardship. Communities are dying and to add insult to injury their way of life is being wilfully attacked. They will not let parliament oppress them."

"Implementation of secondary legislation should be the governments priority, not adding new bills to the agenda," said the CLA.

To help with planning the alliance is now requesting that anyone planning to march should register their intention on their hotline, tel: 0906 788 1680. Calls will cost £1/min although the money raised will be put towards organising the event. Further information is available on 020 7840 9212 or at
