A FREE on-line husk risk calculator, intended to help producers plan their lungworm control strategy, is available on a web-site hosted by Intervet.
The calculator uses a combination of recent husk incidences from 43 UK regions, and known effects of different worming strategies, to accurately assess risk to a specific herd, says the company.
Technical articles and advisory pages are included on the web-site – www.huskvac.co.uk – and a leaflet tackling issues such as wormers, vaccination and strategies to control husk is also available from Intervet (0800-1695351). *
