One man and his dog to be put down

The BBC is to drop One man and his dog, the long-running television series featuring sheepdog trials.

The series has been running for 23 years and has 1.8 million viewers.

The programmes presenter, farmer Robin Page, is leading a campaign to get the BBC to rethink its position.
