Passport guide

NEW guidance on how to fill in the application forms for cattle passports has been issued by the British Cattle Movement Service.

Farmers should make sure that they use black ink, differentiate clearly between letters and numbers and write inside the boxes on the form. Failure to do this makes it difficult for details to be scanned into the computer system and results in delays.

BCMS has issued a warning to farmers to check passports carefully – particularly the dam identification details – when they are returned. A number of passports have been sent out containing errors.

, but replacements will be provided free of charge if they are returned to the BCMS.
