Poachers bring countryside chaos
By FWi staff
GANGS of poachers are causing chaos in the countryside, ruining crops as well as taking wildlife, reports The Daily Telegraph.
In a poll of 4000 gamekeepers, 90% reported that they had dealt with poachers in the past five years. Hare and deer were the most common targets for gangs.
But poachers were also involved in rural vehicle theft, crop damage, assault and vandalism, the survey found.
