Poisoning rodents out of harms way

PUTTING down rat poison can be a dangerous business when young children and pets are at play.

Sheffield-based VES Pest Control Supplies claims to have made the procedure safer by developing its Clear Tube Base Station – a device designed to contain poison away out of harms way.

The device uses a transparent tube with an entrance at each end to allow the mouse to creep in and eat poison contained within a mini trough. After a few visits to the station, the mouse is poisoned.

VES Pest Control Supplies says the device can be placed in awkward inaccessible locations where mice are commonly found. Price is 85p. (01433-621199)
