Pro-hunt mail swamps inquiry
MOST members of the public who have written to the governments inquiry into hunting with dogs, say they are in favour of it continuing.
Inquiry chairman Lord Burns said many were encouraged to write in by the Countryside Alliance, but there was no sign they had used standard letters.
Of the 5000 letters and e-mails received, 99% came from hunt supporters.
Oral evidence will be gathered by the inquiry next month.
The inquiry is due to report at the end of May.
