OILSEED rape prices have climbed again on reports that much of this seasons crop is now sold.

Average ex-farm returns are £2 up on the week, according to the Home-Grown Cereals Authority. East Anglian rape is now commanding an average price of £1.79/ tonne.

In the Southeast, prices average £177/ t. Prices in the Northeast are lower at £173.50/ t.

Stocks are low in other areas of the country and little rape is being sold. Growers are now showing interest in new-crop values. Harvest prices are said to be about £150/ t.
