Recycle packs cut risk to sprayer operators
Recycle packs cut risk to sprayer operators
SPRAYER operators now have the option of yet another new chemical packaging system which aims to solve container disposal problems.
Devised by Europlaz, Link Research and Development Inc, the Rapid Refill containers are supplied by chemical companies and are refillable.
Rapid Refill says the 5/10-litre containers can be recycled over five years before being finally returned and disposed of in an environmentally acceptable way.
In practice, the containers are screwed on to the sprayers induction hopper which opens an internal valve, allowing chemical to be released.
This, says Rapid Refill, substantially cuts the risk of operators being contaminated with chemical compared with the hand-pouring method.
Other benefits are claimed to be a 95% fall in air-to-air vapour release, and no risk of contamination from residue left in the container.
The containers, which are suitable for liquid and granular chemical, add no premium to the price of the overall product, says Rapid Refill. *
Reducing the risk… Rapid Refills containers can be recycled over a five-year life span.
