Rival lovers in farmyard punch-up

TWO men who fought a farmyard battle over a woman were each fined £1500 with £275 costs at Swansea Crown Court for causing an affray.

The court was told that three years ago Mrs Joan Isaac, 52, left her husband, Mr Wayne Isaac, 45, for a huntsman, Mr Anthony Edwards, 37.

In February last year, the two men confronted each other at the Grange Farm Equestrian Centre.

In the fracas which followed, Dr Barbara Lewis, a friend of Mr Isaac, was knocked out. Mr Edwards and Mr Isaac were still fighting when the police arrived.

Mrs Isaac won the Concours dElegance at the Horse of the Year show twice in the 1970s.

The court was told she had told her story about her affair with Mr Edwards to the News of the World, where it appeared under the headline, The Tally-Ho Lovers.
