Sainsbury organic web site launch
SUPERMARKET firm Sainsbury has launched a new internet site to help its organic suppliers source organic ingredients. Eighteen of the companys organic suppliers have access to the site, which also gives members the opportunity to debate issues facing the organic industry.
The retailer hopes that the site will mean an end to shortages of some processed organic foods and allow increased product development. The UK organic market is now estimated to be worth £450m a year.
