Search for future agriculture leaders
A SEARCH is on for 10 professionals from the agricultural industry to participate in a special course designed to help future leaders for the sector.
The Institute of Agricultural Management is staging a course of three training modules in Berks, London and Brussels. It will examine topics such as whether genetically modified products should be widely adopted and whether a big increase in organic farming is feasible for UK agriculture.
Course director John Alliston, of the Royal Agricultural College, said he wanted to find individuals who could take farming forward to a prosperous future in the 21st century.
"It is important that well qualified and charismatic leaders are representing our industry and that they are working together efficiently, effectively and quickly to cover the many questions that appear to still be needing a resolution."
