Sewel calls for co-operation in Scots food

LORD SEWEL, the agriculture minister, has called for more co-operation between Scotlands food, farming and catering sectors.

The minister, speaking at the International Food Exhibition in London, said it was important for Scottish produce to be clearly branded as such.

There were about 80 Scottish exhibitors at the event including the Aberdeenshire-based beef, lamb, smoked salmon and game supply company Donald Russell as well as the Ayrshire Cattle Society.
