Silage survey exposes doubts

MORE than 85% of silage makers are unsure about the properties of the silage additive they use, according to a survey by the Shropshire additive company Thomas & Fontaine.

The survey of more than 1,500 silage makers also found that more than 50% thought the official approval scheme was of little or no help.
