Simmentals crucified at Perth sales
THE Simmental breed suffered at the Perth bull sales, in one of its worst days since it was first imported into the UK more than a quarter of a century ago, reports The Herald.
The average of £2431.35 was for 61 sold – some £47.65 down on last year. But 29 fewer bulls were sold and a further 75 failed to attract bidders attention.
But the breed recorded the highest bid of the week at 13,000gns (£13650). Another sold for 8200gns (£8610).
