Slurry tank cleaning valve now standard
A SELF cleaning valve and stone trap designed to prevent stones and silt building up in a slurry tank is now standard equipment on larger Hi-Spec Super Vacuum tankers.
Sited in a sump at the lowest point of the tank, the valve allows debris to be removed before it builds up to the point that the rear main door needs to be opened.
To clear debris, the vessel is loaded with about 450 litres (100gal) of water and pressurised to flush the sump clear.
Available for model tanks between 2000-3500gal capacity, it can be specified as an option for other models at a price of £175.
