Speculation over Zeneca agrochemicals
SPECULATION has increased that Zeneca will sell its agrochemicals arm following news that the company is about to sell its speciality chemicals division.
The list of potential buyers for Zenecas speciality chemicals business has narrowed to three – BASF, Bayer and Rohm & Haas.
The move has prompted speculation that an agrochemicals sale will also move higher on the companys agenda.
But Zeneca said it intends to keep the division, which accounts for half of annual sales of about £5 billion.
