Speedier shift to working mode on latest beet drills
NEW transport systems designed to speed up the change into and out of working mode have been introduced by Stanhay on its latest models of precision sugar beet drills.
The latest Rallye 592 three-bar 12-row version incorporates a stacker system, where a horizontal folding movement stacks the two wings over the central section of the tool bar, to bring the implement within the legal road width.
A hydraulically operated integral end tow transport system is used on the new two-bar 12-row and three-bar 18-row models. Mid-mounting the wheels also allows a much tighter turning circle, says Stanhay.
All the drills in the new range are fitted with Tek Tip coulters – claimed to last longer than ceramic tips – and hydraulic disc markers, which fold within the width of the implement.
Optional equipment includes an electronic two-row tramliner.
Prices: 12-row stacker £18,272; 12-row end tow £18,340; 18-row end tow £25,738.
Stacker transport system features on Stanhays new three-bar 12-row Rallye 592 precision sugar beet drill.
