Spud lifter for debut

A NEW two-row potato harvester is due to make its debut appearance this spring.

Kvernelands tractor mounted UN3000T, which retains many of the features of the companys existing 3000 planter range, is equipped with a hydraulically tipping 1.5t capacity hopper and a vibrating belt feed system.

The tipping hopper is claimed to enable chitted seed to be handled gently while the vibrating belt helps to ensure that only one potato per cup is delivered to the ground.

Standard specification includes 74mm cups, top drive shaft for cup belts and adjustable spacing. Price of the UN3000T is listed at £7990.
