Staff changes at UFU

By FWi staff

THE Ulster Farmers Union has announced that Angus Cuthbert is taking on the role of acting director general, following the retirement of Alasdair MacLaughlin.

Mr Cuthbert will also continue in his role as director of field services with responsibility for union membership, said the UFU.

“I am determined to play my part in promoting the ever increasing needs of the farming community,” said Mr Cuthbert.

“Farmers deserve a fair income for their labour, management and investment, and the whole team at the union is committed to speeding up the recovery in incomes.

Mr Cuthbert will be working closely with Wesley Aston, director of commodities and Trevor Lockhart, business development manager, said the UFU.
